Mawimbi means waves
Mawimbi Jiko Hotel & Restaurant is a uniquely designed boutique destination located in Taveta, near the Kenya–Tanzania border. We blend modern luxury with authentic craftsmanship to offer guests a refined yet warm hospitality experience.
The name Mawimbi — meaning waves — was inspired by our signature specially designed bricks, uniquely crafted by our own construction company, Twin Boabab. Every structure within our property — from rooms to restaurant spaces and architectural finishes — has been built and designed in-house, ensuring unmatched quality, creativity, and identity.
